Working directly with a Business owner, Project Manager, Users, and Development team. My role was to do the UX design for eKinetx Coach and Player web- applications. I followed Double Diamond process with four phases: Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver.
When I was invited to working with this project the main part of the project was completed. But the client wanted to improve the user experience of both applications because according to user’s feedbacks user experience was bad and users could not understand how to perform even simple tasks.
I did competitors research, stakeholders interviews via Skype conference, remote user interviews and prepared questions for on-site user interviews for PM. We did card sorting with coaches and users to better understand the information architecture of both applications. I conduct user tests with 5-7 of current UIs both applications to better understand the situation with the usability of both applications, also I did remote user tests with competitive products. I did user research using lookback.io service.
Based on the results of research I developed user personas of the current target audience and potential target audience of the coach app, the current target audience and potential target audience of player’s app.
I created maps of user goals, user flows for user personas, experience maps, wireframes.
We decided to skip the lo-fi prototyping phase because the client wanted to implement our finding asap.
I created the hi-fi prototypes for each product section for user tests. I prepared documentation, tasks, and post-interview questions for user tests of both applications. After user tests, we implemented new findings. And the project was transferred to a development team.
A number of deliverables were required for the project, including:
